Energy Sub-Alliance of University Alliance of the Silk Road

To deepen the cooperation in fields of Energy and Environment, under the framework of UASR, an Energy Sub-Alliance of University Alliance of the Silk Road (ESA-UASR) is further proposed by the School of Energy and Power Engineering of Xi’an Jiaotong University. It aims to build cooperation and education platform for professional research institutions in the fields of Energy and Environment. It commits itself to advance student training, academic exchange and scientific research. It also facilitates high-level talents training in Energy and Environment fields. The Secretariat of ESA-UASR was hosted by International Joint Research Laboratory on Thermal Science and Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Since Nov 5, 2017, official invitations have been sent out by the ESA-UASR, and enthusiastic responses and strong support have been offered by domestic and foreign universities. Up to now, 60 universities have registered as the ESA-UASR members. The universities are from 21 countries, such as Croatia, Czech Republic, France, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Thailand, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and China.

The members of ESA-UASR will have access to public resources and information of ESA-UASR; the right to initiate and participate in the cooperation of ESA-UASR, such as student training, academic exchange and scientific research; the obligation and the right to participate in activity as well as conference inside the ESA-UASR. They are highly encouraged to establish Joint Research Centers and International Cooperation Laboratories. Finally, they have the right to propose conferences for special issues within the ESA-UASR as well.
