Registration Notice
Overview
The “Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling” is a core event of the “Post-graduate Innovation and Practice Series Competitions” organized by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of Ministry of Education (CDGDC). The event is an academic contest among graduate students in researching on the application of mathematical modeling, which provides a great platform for them to improve their abilities in mathematical modeling to solve practical problems with Information technology and to cultivate students’ creative spirit and teamwork awareness in scientific research.
The 14th “HUAWEI Cup” (2017) Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling will be hosted by Xi’an Jiaotong University and sponsored by HUAWEI Technology Co., Ltd and Lepu Medical Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd The event will be held from September 16th to 20th, 2017.
This year’s event also invites postgraduate applicants from UASR (University Alliance of the Silk Road) member universities to compete together
I. Registration
Please fill in the registration form and send it to xjtu2017gmcm@163.com before September 10th, 2017 to sign up.
2.The contest is open to both individual and group applicants (maximum 3 persons) and to potential applicants of all academic backgrounds.
II. Competition Rules
Two rounds:
Round 1: written test (September 16th-20th)
The competitors get the test papers from the contact person of the home university, Round 2: thesis submission (before September 30th)
The thesis should be sent to xjtu2017gmcm@163.com before September 30th and should be in line with the rules set by the Standard of Contest Thesis.
IV. Announcement and Award Ceremony
The results will be announced around middle November 2017 via E-mail.
The award ceremony will be held at Xi’an Jiaotong University on December 11th,2017. The first prize winner will be invited to the Closing Ceremony at Xi’an Jiaotong University. The accommodation and catering costs will be covered by the organizers.

A1: Three students team up as
a group. You
should check the Email, download the tests, model the programming independently, complete the paper, and submit the paper as required and before the deadline. The thesis is supposed to be written independently but references and discussions among group members are allowed.
