On May 25, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, Mrs.ChinarRustamova visited Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). XJTU President Wang Shuguo met with the Ambassador, exchanging views on China-Turkmenistan relations and exploring potential collaborations. XJTU Vice President Xi Guang, Heads of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, School of Foreign Languages and Studies and School of International Educations participated in the meeting and discussion.

President Wangbriefly introduced the scale and discipline construction of XJTU. Then he elaborated on the status quo of the construction work of the Western China Scientific and Technological Innovation Harbor.

Ambassador Rustamova believed that her visit will further promote the relations between the universities and colleges of the two countries and hoped that XJTU will make efforts with their Turkmen counterparts in the fields of student mobility and scientific collaborations.

After the meeting, Ambassador Rustamova joined the XJTU student representatives in a discussion. She introduced the Turkmen society, including its economics, politics, history, custom and culture, etc. Ambassador Rustamova also warmly welcomed XJTU students to pursue their studies or finding a job in Turkmen.
