On April 3rd, Datin Paduka Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah Binti Tapsir, Director General of the Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education; Abdul Aziz How Abdullah, Education Counsellor of Malaysia Embassy in China; and their delegation visited XJTU.
Vice President Xi Guang, met with them in Room 107 of the XJTU Science Hall, accompanied by He Changzhong, director of the XJTU Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges. Vice President Xi Guang welcomed Director General Tapsir and introduced the University’s history, student development, information regarding Malaysian students, development of the UASR and its sub-alliances. He invited Malaysian universities and colleges to join in UASR to share educational resources and to jointly promote exchanges, research cooperation and other practical programs with allied universities. In addition, both sides had in-depth discussion on issues such as joint-operating schools overseas, establishment of a Super Satellite Campus and learning platform as well as MOOC development. After the meeting, Director General Tapsir and his delegation visited the Westward Relocation Museum.
