On May 11-12th, the launching ceremony and academic BBS of the Advanced Manufacturing Sub-Alliance of the University Alliance of the Silk Road were successfully held by School of Mechanical Engineering of Xi 'an Jiaotong University.
On May 11th, as one of the opening activities of the 2019 Silk Road Education Cooperation and Exchange Conference, Mr. Fang Guanghua, Vice-governor of Shaanxi province, President Wang Shuguo of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, and Prof. Laurent Maghdissian,foreign university representative from Ecole des Ponts Paristech jointly unveiled " Advanced Manufacturing Sub-Alliance of UASR "
On May 12th, the Academic Forum of Advanced Manufacturing Sub-Alliance was held at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Vice President Xi Guang of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, sent a congratulatory letter to the AMSA. The members of AMSA including Imperial College London, University of Portsmouth, Polytech Montpellier and Samarkand State University, as well as Xinjiang University, Shihezi University, Qinghai University and Lanzhou University of Technology. In addition, representatives of the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR), Energy Sub-Alliance of the University Alliance of the Silk Road, Chemical Engineering Sub-Alliance of the University Alliance of the Silk Road and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Sub-Alliance of the University Alliance of the Silk Road were invited to attend the meeting and exchange views on the development of each Sub-Alliance. The representative of the School of International Education introduced the overall enrollment situation of international students and the corresponding enrollment policies. Finally, the participants discussed the development of AMAS and reached an agreement that AMAS would provide a platform for international exchanges and cooperation among AMSA members, so as to promote substantial and effective international exchanges and cooperation between AMAS and universities.
After the meeting, representatives visited the State Key Laboratory for Manufacturing System Engineering and iHarbour Institute for Frontier Equipment.
