The Belt and Road Intellectual Property Protection Seminar Week was held successfully on May 22-27, 2019, in Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU).
At the invitation of XJTU, several foreign experts participated in the Belt and Road Intellectual Property Protection Seminar Week and had discussions with our teachers and students on such topics as legal issues in international human and economic cooperation, frontiers of international intellectual property theory and practice, legal issues of cultural diversity and legal protection of traditional knowledge and genetic resources. Based on a series of lectures and discussions, this activity helped to integrate knowledge of different disciplines, established a platform for exchanges among different fields, thus further strengthened the intellectual property protection in the context of the "Belt and Road". At the same time, the opportunities and challenges for further promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative were analyzed from different perspectives on the basis of a fully investigation and understanding of China's national conditions. Therefore, it complies with the development trend of international intellectual property protection and is able to provide assistance to the institutional coordination and communication between China and other countries.
