From July 21 to 29, 2019, a delegation led by XJTU’s professor Yang Bolun visited UK and went to the Oxford University, the University of Liverpool, the University of Edinburgh, and other top universities in UK. Members of the delegation held discussions with representatives of the British universities on student and teacher exchange, scientific research, joint academic cooperation, and other issues related to the Chemical Engineering Sub-Alliance of UASR.

The University of Liverpool officially decided to join in the Chemical Engineering Sub-Alliance and held a XJTU-Liverpool Seminar on Catalysis, Energy, and Material. Five professors of the University of Liverpool and four professors from XJTU delegation attended the seminar and stated insightful ideas in their reports.
