    (CTR:)

From September 27 to 30, 2019, the technology summer camp and short-term training of ISPOR student branch were successfully held in Xi'an. Over 30 students from the ISPOR Student Branch of Punjab University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tianjin University, and Jinan University were invited to join in the activity. Scholars from the University of Newcastle, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Tulane, Harvard Medical School, the University of Macau, and the National University of Singapore formed the coaching team of the summer camp. They coached the students on international cutting-edge knowledge and methods of pharmacoeconomics.

During the training, Chair of each ISPOR student branch introduced the development and construction of their branch and discussed future plans on how to expand the scale of ISPOR student branch, organize fellowship activities, and carry out scientific research cooperation.

Based on the communication and international cooperation between ISPOR student branches under the frame of the UASR, this activity provided a useful platform for universities in China to strengthen the internationalized training for pharmacoeconomics talents, carry out students’ research cooperation in the field of pharmacoeconomics, and improve their global vision in future studies.

International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), founded in 1955, is one of the largest non-profit international educational and academic organizations in the field of global economics of medicine and health, aiming to develop research on pharmacoeconomics, health economics and health outcome. At present, ISPOR has established 6 regional branches in China, including the ISPOR Northwest China Branch established in February 2019 at Xi'an Jiaotong University.
