On the afternoon of September 20, the second Council of The Chemical Sub-alliance of University Alliance of Silk Road and 2020 Charm Chemical Academic Forum were held in the Lecture Hall of Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbour in the form of both online and offline. Professor Xi Guang, Vice Chairman of UASR and Vice President of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Mr. He Changzhong, Secretary-General of UASR Secretariat and Director of International Cooperation and Exchanges Affairs attended the ceremony. Scholars from From the University of Queensland, Queen's University London, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark participated.                                                

At the first half of the meeting, He Changzhong introduced the development of Xi’an Jiaotong University and expressed his expectation towards communication and cooperation among the universities from the Chemical Sub-alliance. After that, the signing ceremony of the new members of the council was held. By voting, the board members unanimously agree that the five colleges and universities, namely, The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Northwest Polytechnic University, the College of Chemical Engineering of Northwest University, the College of Environmental and Chemical Engineering of Xi 'an University of Technology, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Yan 'an University and the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Yulin University, should join the alliance.

At the second half of the meeting, 2020 Charm Chemical Academic Forum were held. Scholars from universities released reports or progress of their researches. At the end of the meeting, Zhang made a summary speech. He said that the second council and academic Forum of the Chemical sub-alliance of UASR had achieved the expected goal, not only attracting new members, but also holding an academic feast. He sincerely hopes that all members of the Chemical Sub-alliance and the School of Chemical Engineering of Xi 'an Jiaotong University will work together to make progress, jointly conquer the difficulties of chemical industry, promote the development of chemical industry, and build the better platform of the sub-alliance.
