On 3rdJul. morning, Prof. Volodymyr Pavlovych KAZARIN, President of V. I. Vernadsky Taurida National University from Ukraine visited XJTU. Mr. Maizeng ZHANG, Chairman of University Board warmly welcomed the delegation at 107 Science Hall, together with Vice-President Prof. Guang XI, Hong YAN, and other representatives from Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, as well as School of Science.
Mr. Maizeng ZHANG gave brief introduction of XJTU including historical development, fields of disciplines, university scale and mission. In particular, the development status of Medicine Department was highlighted.
Prof. Volodymyr Pavlovych KAZARIN appreciated the welcome of Mr. ZHANG. This year is the 25th anniversary of Sino-Ukraine diplomatic relations. He believed the collaboration between the two universities will be promoted under the kind affiliation of two governments.
Later on, the agreement of joining UASR was signed by Mr. Maizeng ZHANG and Prof. Volodymyr Pavlovych KAZARIN.
After the meeting, President Volodymyr Pavlovych KAZARIN visited the XJTU Global Health Institute (GHI) and had a seminar with students and teachers from GHI.
